Successful Pilot of Prakti Air in Himachal Pradesh
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Himachal Pradesh, 22 July, 2022: Prakti Inc, announced successful completion of the pilot of the Prakti Air product in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Prakti Air is a forced draft air stove and is designed to fit into many different kinds of stove bodies. It functions by blowing air into a fire, resulting in a dramatic decrease in emissions and an increase in fuel efficiency.
Prakti partnered with The Kalgidhar Trust (Baru Sahib), an Indian registered non-profit charitable organization focussed on providing Quality Education to children, along with focus on Healthcare, Women Empowerment and Social Welfare.
Prakti Air was tested over a period of 4 weeks with 8 families, in Kakhli village, near Baru Sahib campus in Himachal Pradesh, India. The objective was to measure improvement in air quality, firepower, usability and cooking efficiency due to use of Prakti Air.
The field testing yielded positive feedback.
We saw dramatic improvement in Air Quality (AQI* decreased from >500 to <250), visibly less smoke/soot while cooking.
Wood Consumption was cut by 50% (240 Kg per month per home wood is saved), resulting in 45 hours per month per home time saved in gathering wood.
Cooking with Prakti Air takes 67% less time, resulting in a cook saving up to 3 hours per day (or 45.6 days a year)
Traditional Chulas produce slow, “lazy” flames while Prakti Air produce high-velocity, turbulent flames which lead to better combustion.

Successful Pilot of Prakti Air in Kolkata
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kolkata, 15 February, 2022: Prakti Inc, announced successful completion of the pilot of Prakti Air product in Kolkata, India.
Prakti Air is a forced draft air stove and is designed to fit into many different kinds of stove bodies. It functions by blowing air into a fire, resulting in a dramatic decrease in emissions and an increase in fuel efficiency.
Prakti partnered with Calcutta Rescue (CR), an Indian registered charity working to improve the lives of the poorest people in and around Kolkata. CR's close relationships with urban slums and our experience with stove technology are a perfect match for Prakti Air field testing.
Prakti Air was tested over a period of 3 weeks with 6 families, in slums of Dakshineswar Metro Colony (DMC), near Kolkata, India. The objective was to answer two main questions to help with the design process: i) Are cooks confident about cooking with the Prakti Air? ii) Do cooks like using the Prakti Air, and why?
The field testing yielded favorable feedback. Every household felt the use of Prakti Air improved the stove performance. Prakti Air used less fuel for the whole meal and took less time. Every family felt there was less smoke, and families loved how much easier the pots were to clean (less soot build-up). Feedback from the users also resulted in fine-tuning the design of Prakti Air.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Phuket, 10 November, 2021: Prakti Inc, announced today their latest next generation cookstove, Prakti Air.
Prakti Air is a forced draft air stove and is designed to fit into many different kinds of stove bodies. It functions by blowing air into a fire, resulting in a dramatic decrease in emissions and an increase in fuel efficiency. This patented technology solves many challenges in the cookstove industry, such as cost, adoption of technology, and firepower.
Using Prakti Air results in 95% less PM and CO. This means women and children in the kitchen inhale significantly less air pollution. Another user favorite improvement is less smoke means less soot collects on pots and results in easier cleaning. Prakti Air is also estimated to reduce black carbon by 90%, one of the top contributors to climate change.
